I am learning morse

I was always interested in learning morse but I did not have my mind seriously set on it until recently. My shack conditions do not allow me do much DX-ing on SSB and I am not very keen of FT8 and other digital modes so I consider CW as the only possible way to get more contacts from DX entities that are not possible otherways for me. So I bought a Putikeeg CW (morse) key from amazon.fr. A good friend of mine owns one and he is an experienced morse operator so I took his example and got one for myself.

It is lovely built, although a bit too light for my taste but it is equipped with three strong magnets that allows to be mounted on a metal base plate. It is ideal for travel and it comes in a very elegant plastic box with polyurethane inserts. I choose the dark grey version because this is a color that I tend to favour for metal objects. My iPhone has a similar color.

I started to learn morse from lcwo.net which is a nice website dedicated to those that want to learn morse online using Koch method. Wish me luck !
